CVSS v3.1 |
| Nanopb is a small code-size Protocol Buffers implementation. When the compile time option PB_ENABLE_MALLOC is enabled, the message contains at least one field with FT_POINTER field type, custom stream callback is used with unknown stream length. and the pb_decode_ex() function is used with flag PB_DECODE_DELIMITED, then the pb_decode_ex() function does not automatically call pb_release(), like is done for other failure cases. This could lead to memory leak and potential denial-of-service. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.4.9.1. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.12-91 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) in Magick::Draw. |
| Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the way the Snort detection engine processes ICMP traffic that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to improper memory resource management while the Snort detection engine is processing ICMP packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a series of ICMP packets through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to exhaust resources on the affected device, causing the device to reload. |
| A vulnerability in the Cisco Network Plug and Play agent, also referred to as the Cisco Open Plug-n-Play agent, of Cisco IOS Software and Cisco IOS XE Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a memory leak on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation by the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending invalid data to the Cisco Network Plug and Play agent on an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a memory leak on the affected device, which could cause the device to reload. |
| CometBFT is a Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) middleware that takes a state transition machine and replicates it on many machines. The mempool maintains two data structures to keep track of outstanding transactions: a list and a map.
These two data structures are supposed to be in sync all the time in the sense that the map tracks the index (if any) of the transaction in the list. In `v0.37.0`, and `v0.37.1`, as well as in `v0.34.28`, and all previous releases of the CometBFT repo2, it is possible to have them out of sync. When this happens, the list may contain several copies of the same transaction. Because the map tracks a single index, it is then no longer possible to remove all the copies of the transaction from the list. This happens even if the duplicated transaction is later committed in a block. The only way to remove the transaction is by restarting the node.
The above problem can be repeated on and on until a sizable number of transactions are stuck in the mempool, in order to try to bring down the target node. The problem is fixed in releases `v0.34.29` and `v0.37.2`. Some workarounds are available. Increasing the value of `cache_size` in `config.toml` makes it very difficult to effectively attack a full node. Not exposing the transaction submission RPC's would mitigate the probability of a successful attack, as the attacker would then have to create a modified (byzantine) full node to be able to perform the attack via p2p. |
| In versions of Apache CXF before 3.6.4 and 4.0.5 (3.5.x and lower versions are not impacted), a CXF HTTP client conduit may prevent HTTPClient instances from being garbage collected and it is possible that memory consumption will continue to increase, eventually causing the application to run out of memory

| A memory leak issue discovered in parseSWF_GLYPHENTRY in libming v0.4.8 allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted SWF file. |
| A memory leak issue discovered in parseSWF_FILLSTYLEARRAY in libming v0.4.8 allows attackers to cause s denial of service via a crafted SWF file. |
| OpenFGA, an authorization/permission engine, is vulnerable to a denial of service attack in versions prior to 1.4.3. In some scenarios that depend on the model and tuples used, a call to `ListObjects` may not release memory properly. So when a sufficiently high number of those calls are executed, the OpenFGA server can create an `out of memory` error and terminate. Version 1.4.3 contains a patch for this issue. |
| A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Apryse iText 8.0.1. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file PdfDocument.java of the component Reference Table Handler. The manipulation leads to memory leak. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. Upgrading to version 8.0.2 is able to address this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. The identifier VDB-246125 was assigned to this vulnerability. NOTE: The vendor was contacted early about this vulnerability. The fix was introduced in the iText 8.0.2 release on October 25th 2023, prior to the disclosure. |
| The tokio-boring library in version 4.0.0 is affected by a memory leak issue that can lead to excessive resource consumption and potential DoS by resource exhaustion. The set_ex_data function used by the library did not deallocate memory used by pre-existing data in memory each time after completing a TLS connection causing the program to consume more resources with each new connection.

| RTPS dissector memory leak in Wireshark 4.0.0 to 4.0.8 and 3.6.0 to 3.6.16 allows denial of service via packet injection or crafted capture file |
| A memory leak issue discovered in YASM v.1.3.0 allows a local attacker to cause a denial of service via the new_Token function in the modules/preprocs/nasm/nasm-pp:1512. |
| gpac 2.3-DEV-rev617-g671976fcc-master contains memory leaks in gf_mpd_resolve_url media_tools/mpd.c:4589. |
| GPAC 2.3-DEV-rev617-g671976fcc-master is vulnerable to memory leaks in extract_attributes media_tools/m3u8.c:329. |

| MP4Box GPAC v2.3-DEV-rev617-g671976fcc-master was discovered to contain a memory leak in the function gf_isom_add_chapter at /isomedia/isom_write.c. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted MP4 file. |
| GPAC version 2.3-DEV-rev602-ged8424300-master in MP4Box contains a memory leak in NewSFDouble scenegraph/vrml_tools.c:300. This vulnerability may lead to a denial of service. |

An Improper Release of Memory Before Removing Last Reference vulnerability in Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS allows a local, low privileged attacker to cause an FPC crash, leading to Denial of Service (DoS).
On all Junos MX Series with MPC1 - MPC9, LC480, LC2101, MX10003, and MX80, when Connectivity-Fault-Management (CFM) is enabled in a VPLS scenario, and a specific LDP related command is run, an FPC will crash and reboot. Continued execution of this specific LDP command can lead to sustained Denial of Service condition.
This issue affects:
Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series:

* 21.1 versions prior to 21.1R3-S5;
* 21.2 versions prior to 21.2R3-S4;
* 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3-S4;
* 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R3-S3;
* 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R3-S1;
* 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R2-S1, 22.2R3;
* 22.3 versions prior to 22.3R1-S2, 22.3R2.
