CVE-2025-64896 2 Adobe, Apple 3 Creative Cloud, Creative Cloud Desktop Application, Macos 2025-12-12 5.5 Medium
Creative Cloud Desktop versions 6.4.0.361 and earlier are affected by a Creation of Temporary File in Directory with Incorrect Permissions vulnerability that could lead to application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to disrupt the application's functionality by manipulating temporary files. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2025-33111 1 Ibm 2 Cognos Controller, Controller 2025-12-10 4.3 Medium
IBM Controller 11.1.0 through 11.1.1 and IBM Cognos Controller 11.0.0 through 11.0.1 FP6 is vulnerable to creation of temporary files without atomic operations which may expose sensitive information to an authenticated user due to race condition attacks.
CVE-2015-5224 1 Kernel 1 Util-linux 2025-12-04 9.8 Critical
The mkostemp function in login-utils in util-linux when used incorrectly allows remote attackers to cause file name collision and possibly other attacks.
CVE-2025-34352 2 Jumpcloud, Microsoft 2 Remote Assist, Windows 2025-12-04 N/A
JumpCloud Remote Assist for Windows versions prior to 0.317.0 include an uninstaller that is invoked by the JumpCloud Windows Agent as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM during agent uninstall or update operations. The Remote Assist uninstaller performs privileged create, write, execute, and delete actions on predictable files inside a user-writable %TEMP% subdirectory without validating that the directory is trusted or resetting its ACLs when it already exists. A local, low-privileged attacker can pre-create the directory with weak permissions and leverage mount-point or symbolic-link redirection to (a) coerce arbitrary file writes to protected locations, leading to denial of service (e.g., by overwriting sensitive system files), or (b) win a race to redirect DeleteFileW() to attacker-chosen targets, enabling arbitrary file or folder deletion and local privilege escalation to SYSTEM. This issue is fixed in JumpCloud Remote Assist 0.317.0 and affects Windows systems where Remote Assist is installed and managed through the Agent lifecycle.
CVE-2023-6917 2 Redhat, Sgi 2 Enterprise Linux, Performance Co-pilot 2025-11-20 6 Medium
A vulnerability has been identified in the Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) package, stemming from the mixed privilege levels utilized by systemd services associated with PCP. While certain services operate within the confines of limited PCP user/group privileges, others are granted full root privileges. This disparity in privilege levels poses a risk when privileged root processes interact with directories or directory trees owned by unprivileged PCP users. Specifically, this vulnerability may lead to the compromise of PCP user isolation and facilitate local PCP-to-root exploits, particularly through symlink attacks. These vulnerabilities underscore the importance of maintaining robust privilege separation mechanisms within PCP to mitigate the potential for unauthorized privilege escalation.
CVE-2023-3972 1 Redhat 23 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 20 more 2025-11-20 7.8 High
A vulnerability was found in insights-client. This security issue occurs because of insecure file operations or unsafe handling of temporary files and directories that lead to local privilege escalation. Before the insights-client has been registered on the system by root, an unprivileged local user or attacker could create the /var/tmp/insights-client directory (owning the directory with read, write, and execute permissions) on the system. After the insights-client is registered by root, an attacker could then control the directory content that insights are using by putting malicious scripts into it and executing arbitrary code as root (trivially bypassing SELinux protections because insights processes are allowed to disable SELinux system-wide).
CVE-2025-34194 3 Microsoft, Printerlogic, Vasion 5 Windows, Vasion Print, Virtual Appliance and 2 more 2025-11-17 7.8 High
Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host versions prior to 25.1.102 and Application versions prior to 25.1.1413 (Windows client deployments) contain an insecure temporary-file handling vulnerability in the PrinterInstallerClient components. The software creates files as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM inside a directory under the control of the local user (C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Local\Temp\). An attacker who can place symbolic links or otherwise influence filenames in that directory can cause the service to follow the link and write to arbitrary filesystem locations as SYSTEM. This allows a local, unprivileged user to overwrite or create files as SYSTEM, leading to local privilege escalation and the ability to modify configuration files, replace or inject binaries, or otherwise compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the system. This vulnerability has been confirmed to be remediated, but it is unclear as to when the patch was introduced.
CVE-2025-46368 1 Dell 1 Alienware Command Center 2025-11-17 6.6 Medium
Dell Alienware Command Center 6.x (AWCC), versions prior to 6.10.15.0, contains an Insecure Temporary File vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information tampering.
CVE-2025-46369 1 Dell 1 Alienware Command Center 2025-11-17 7.8 High
Dell Alienware Command Center 6.x (AWCC), versions prior to 6.10.15.0, contains an Insecure Temporary File vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Privilege Escalation.
CVE-2024-23454 1 Apache 1 Hadoop 2025-11-13 6.2 Medium
Apache Hadoop’s RunJar.run() does not set permissions for temporary directory by default. If sensitive data will be present in this file, all the other local users may be able to view the content. This is because, on unix-like systems, the system temporary directory is shared between all local users. As such, files written in this directory, without setting the correct posix permissions explicitly, may be viewable by all other local users.
CVE-2023-40438 1 Apple 3 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos 2025-11-04 5.5 Medium
An issue was addressed with improved handling of temporary files. This issue is fixed in macOS Sonoma 14, iOS 16.7 and iPadOS 16.7. An app may be able to access edited photos saved to a temporary directory.
CVE-2024-23287 1 Apple 4 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 1 more 2025-11-04 6.5 Medium
A privacy issue was addressed with improved handling of temporary files. This issue is fixed in macOS Sonoma 14.4, iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4, watchOS 10.4. An app may be able to access user-sensitive data.

CVE-2024-41047 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i40e: Fix XDP program unloading while removing the driver The commit 6533e558c650 ("i40e: Fix reset path while removing the driver") introduced a new PF state "__I40E_IN_REMOVE" to block modifying the XDP program while the driver is being removed. Unfortunately, such a change is useful only if the ".ndo_bpf()" callback was called out of the rmmod context because unloading the existing XDP program is also a part of driver removing procedure. In other words, from the rmmod context the driver is expected to unload the XDP program without reporting any errors. Otherwise, the kernel warning with callstack is printed out to dmesg. Example failing scenario: 1. Load the i40e driver. 2. Load the XDP program. 3. Unload the i40e driver (using "rmmod" command). The example kernel warning log: [ +0.004646] WARNING: CPU: 94 PID: 10395 at net/core/dev.c:9290 unregister_netdevice_many_notify+0x7a9/0x870 [...] [ +0.010959] RIP: 0010:unregister_netdevice_many_notify+0x7a9/0x870 [...] [ +0.002726] Call Trace: [ +0.002457] <TASK> [ +0.002119] ? __warn+0x80/0x120 [ +0.003245] ? unregister_netdevice_many_notify+0x7a9/0x870 [ +0.005586] ? report_bug+0x164/0x190 [ +0.003678] ? handle_bug+0x3c/0x80 [ +0.003503] ? exc_invalid_op+0x17/0x70 [ +0.003846] ? asm_exc_invalid_op+0x1a/0x20 [ +0.004200] ? unregister_netdevice_many_notify+0x7a9/0x870 [ +0.005579] ? unregister_netdevice_many_notify+0x3cc/0x870 [ +0.005586] unregister_netdevice_queue+0xf7/0x140 [ +0.004806] unregister_netdev+0x1c/0x30 [ +0.003933] i40e_vsi_release+0x87/0x2f0 [i40e] [ +0.004604] i40e_remove+0x1a1/0x420 [i40e] [ +0.004220] pci_device_remove+0x3f/0xb0 [ +0.003943] device_release_driver_internal+0x19f/0x200 [ +0.005243] driver_detach+0x48/0x90 [ +0.003586] bus_remove_driver+0x6d/0xf0 [ +0.003939] pci_unregister_driver+0x2e/0xb0 [ +0.004278] i40e_exit_module+0x10/0x5f0 [i40e] [ +0.004570] __do_sys_delete_module.isra.0+0x197/0x310 [ +0.005153] do_syscall_64+0x85/0x170 [ +0.003684] ? syscall_exit_to_user_mode+0x69/0x220 [ +0.004886] ? do_syscall_64+0x95/0x170 [ +0.003851] ? exc_page_fault+0x7e/0x180 [ +0.003932] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x71/0x79 [ +0.005064] RIP: 0033:0x7f59dc9347cb [ +0.003648] Code: 73 01 c3 48 8b 0d 65 16 0c 00 f7 d8 64 89 01 48 83 c8 ff c3 66 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 90 f3 0f 1e fa b8 b0 00 00 00 0f 05 <48> 3d 01 f0 ff ff 73 01 c3 48 8b 0d 35 16 0c 00 f7 d8 64 89 01 48 [ +0.018753] RSP: 002b:00007ffffac99048 EFLAGS: 00000206 ORIG_RAX: 00000000000000b0 [ +0.007577] RAX: ffffffffffffffda RBX: 0000559b9bb2f6e0 RCX: 00007f59dc9347cb [ +0.007140] RDX: 0000000000000000 RSI: 0000000000000800 RDI: 0000559b9bb2f748 [ +0.007146] RBP: 00007ffffac99070 R08: 1999999999999999 R09: 0000000000000000 [ +0.007133] R10: 00007f59dc9a5ac0 R11: 0000000000000206 R12: 0000000000000000 [ +0.007141] R13: 00007ffffac992d8 R14: 0000559b9bb2f6e0 R15: 0000000000000000 [ +0.007151] </TASK> [ +0.002204] ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- Fix this by checking if the XDP program is being loaded or unloaded. CVE-2022-41946 3 Debian, Postgresql, Redhat 10 Debian Linux, Postgresql Jdbc Driver, Camel K and 7 more 2025-11-03 4.7 Medium
pgjdbc is an open source postgresql JDBC Driver. In affected versions a prepared statement using either `PreparedStatement.setText(int, InputStream)` or `PreparedStatemet.setBytea(int, InputStream)` will create a temporary file if the InputStream is larger than 2k. This will create a temporary file which is readable by other users on Unix like systems, but not MacOS. On Unix like systems, the system's temporary directory is shared between all users on that system. Because of this, when files and directories are written into this directory they are, by default, readable by other users on that same system. This vulnerability does not allow other users to overwrite the contents of these directories or files. This is purely an information disclosure vulnerability. Because certain JDK file system APIs were only added in JDK 1.7, this this fix is dependent upon the version of the JDK you are using. Java 1.7 and higher users: this vulnerability is fixed in 4.5.0. Java 1.6 and lower users: no patch is available. If you are unable to patch, or are stuck running on Java 1.6, specifying the java.io.tmpdir system environment variable to a directory that is exclusively owned by the executing user will mitigate this vulnerability.
CVE-2025-7707 2 Llamaindex, Run-llama 2 Llamaindex, Llama Index 2025-10-21 7.8 High
The llama_index library version 0.12.33 sets the NLTK data directory to a subdirectory of the codebase by default, which is world-writable in multi-user environments. This configuration allows local users to overwrite, delete, or corrupt NLTK data files, leading to potential denial of service, data tampering, or privilege escalation. The vulnerability arises from the use of a shared cache directory instead of a user-specific one, making it susceptible to local data tampering and denial of service.
CVE-2024-9950 2 Forescout, Microsoft 2 Secureconnector, Windows 2025-10-17 7.8 High
A vulnerability in Forescout SecureConnector v11.3.07.0109 on Windows allows unauthenticated user to modify compliance scripts due to insecure temporary directory.
CVE-2025-61659 1 Bash-git-prompt Project 1 Bash-git-prompt 2025-10-15 6.8 Medium
bash-git-prompt 2.6.1 through 2.7.1 insecurely uses the /tmp/git-index-private$$ file, which has a predictable name.
CVE-2024-12911 1 Llamaindex 1 Llamaindex 2025-10-15 N/A
A vulnerability in the `default_jsonalyzer` function of the `JSONalyzeQueryEngine` in the run-llama/llama_index repository allows for SQL injection via prompt injection. This can lead to arbitrary file creation and Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks. The vulnerability affects the latest version and is fixed in version 0.5.1.
