CVE-2024-9014 2 Pgadmin, Postgresql 2 Pgadmin 4, Pgadmin 4 2025-09-22 9.9 Critical
pgAdmin versions 8.11 and earlier are vulnerable to a security flaw in OAuth2 authentication. This vulnerability allows an attacker to potentially obtain the client ID and secret, leading to unauthorized access to user data.
CVE-2025-8714 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2025-08-15 8.8 High
Untrusted data inclusion in pg_dump in PostgreSQL allows a malicious superuser of the origin server to inject arbitrary code for restore-time execution as the client operating system account running psql to restore the dump, via psql meta-commands. pg_dumpall is also affected. pg_restore is affected when used to generate a plain-format dump. This is similar to MySQL CVE-2024-21096. Versions before PostgreSQL 17.6, 16.10, 15.14, 14.19, and 13.22 are affected.
CVE-2025-8715 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2025-08-15 8.8 High
Improper neutralization of newlines in pg_dump in PostgreSQL allows a user of the origin server to inject arbitrary code for restore-time execution as the client operating system account running psql to restore the dump, via psql meta-commands inside a purpose-crafted object name. The same attacks can achieve SQL injection as a superuser of the restore target server. pg_dumpall, pg_restore, and pg_upgrade are also affected. Versions before PostgreSQL 17.6, 16.10, 15.14, 14.19, and 13.22 are affected. Versions before 11.20 are unaffected. CVE-2012-0868 had fixed this class of problem, but version 11.20 reintroduced it.
CVE-2025-8713 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2025-08-15 3.1 Low
PostgreSQL optimizer statistics allow a user to read sampled data within a view that the user cannot access. Separately, statistics allow a user to read sampled data that a row security policy intended to hide. PostgreSQL maintains statistics for tables by sampling data available in columns; this data is consulted during the query planning process. Prior to this release, a user could craft a leaky operator that bypassed view access control lists (ACLs) and bypassed row security policies in partitioning or table inheritance hierarchies. Reachable statistics data notably included histograms and most-common-values lists. CVE-2017-7484 and CVE-2019-10130 intended to close this class of vulnerability, but this gap remained. Versions before PostgreSQL 17.6, 16.10, 15.14, 14.19, and 13.22 are affected.
CVE-2025-4207 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2025-06-24 5.9 Medium
Buffer over-read in PostgreSQL GB18030 encoding validation allows a database input provider to achieve temporary denial of service on platforms where a 1-byte over-read can elicit process termination. This affects the database server and also libpq. Versions before PostgreSQL 17.5, 16.9, 15.13, 14.18, and 13.21 are affected.
CVE-2024-0985 2 Postgresql, Redhat 7 Postgresql, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more 2025-06-13 8 High
Late privilege drop in REFRESH MATERIALIZED VIEW CONCURRENTLY in PostgreSQL allows an object creator to execute arbitrary SQL functions as the command issuer. The command intends to run SQL functions as the owner of the materialized view, enabling safe refresh of untrusted materialized views. The victim is a superuser or member of one of the attacker's roles. The attack requires luring the victim into running REFRESH MATERIALIZED VIEW CONCURRENTLY on the attacker's materialized view. Versions before PostgreSQL 16.2, 15.6, 14.11, 13.14, and 12.18 are affected.
CVE-2023-2454 3 Fedoraproject, Postgresql, Redhat 9 Fedora, Postgresql, Enterprise Linux and 6 more 2025-06-04 7.2 High
schema_element defeats protective search_path changes; It was found that certain database calls in PostgreSQL could permit an authed attacker with elevated database-level privileges to execute arbitrary code.
CVE-2022-21724 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Postgresql and 2 more 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Postgresql Jdbc Driver and 5 more 2025-05-05 7 High
pgjdbc is the offical PostgreSQL JDBC Driver. A security hole was found in the jdbc driver for postgresql database while doing security research. The system using the postgresql library will be attacked when attacker control the jdbc url or properties. pgjdbc instantiates plugin instances based on class names provided via `authenticationPluginClassName`, `sslhostnameverifier`, `socketFactory`, `sslfactory`, `sslpasswordcallback` connection properties. However, the driver did not verify if the class implements the expected interface before instantiating the class. This can lead to code execution loaded via arbitrary classes. Users using plugins are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this issue.
CVE-2022-24844 2 Gin-vue-admin Project, Postgresql 2 Gin-vue-admin, Postgresql 2025-04-22 8.1 High
Gin-vue-admin is a backstage management system based on vue and gin, which separates the front and rear of the full stack. The problem occurs in the following code in server/service/system/sys_auto_code_pgsql.go, which means that PostgreSQL must be used as the database for this vulnerability to occur. Users must: Require JWT login) and be using PostgreSQL to be affected. This issue has been resolved in version 2.5.1. There are no known workarounds.
CVE-2017-8806 3 Canonical, Debian, Postgresql 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Postgresql 2025-04-20 5.5 Medium
The Debian pg_ctlcluster, pg_createcluster, and pg_upgradecluster scripts, as distributed in the Debian postgresql-common package before 181+deb9u1 for PostgreSQL (and other packages related to Debian and Ubuntu), handled symbolic links insecurely, which could result in local denial of service by overwriting arbitrary files.
CVE-2016-0768 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2025-04-20 N/A
PostgreSQL PL/Java after 9.0 does not honor access controls on large objects.
CVE-2017-7486 2 Postgresql, Redhat 5 Postgresql, Enterprise Linux, Network Satellite and 2 more 2025-04-20 N/A
PostgreSQL versions 8.4 - 9.6 are vulnerable to information leak in pg_user_mappings view which discloses foreign server passwords to any user having USAGE privilege on the associated foreign server.
CVE-2017-7485 2 Postgresql, Redhat 3 Postgresql, Network Satellite, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 N/A
In PostgreSQL 9.3.x before 9.3.17, 9.4.x before 9.4.12, 9.5.x before 9.5.7, and 9.6.x before 9.6.3, it was found that the PGREQUIRESSL environment variable was no longer enforcing a SSL/TLS connection to a PostgreSQL server. An active Man-in-the-Middle attacker could use this flaw to strip the SSL/TLS protection from a connection between a client and a server.
CVE-2017-7546 3 Debian, Postgresql, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Postgresql, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2025-04-20 N/A
PostgreSQL versions before 9.2.22, 9.3.18, 9.4.13, 9.5.8 and 9.6.4 are vulnerable to incorrect authentication flaw allowing remote attackers to gain access to database accounts with an empty password.
CVE-2017-15099 3 Debian, Postgresql, Redhat 3 Debian Linux, Postgresql, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 N/A
INSERT ... ON CONFLICT DO UPDATE commands in PostgreSQL 10.x before 10.1, 9.6.x before 9.6.6, and 9.5.x before 9.5.10 disclose table contents that the invoker lacks privilege to read. These exploits affect only tables where the attacker lacks full read access but has both INSERT and UPDATE privileges. Exploits bypass row level security policies and lack of SELECT privilege.
CVE-2017-7484 2 Postgresql, Redhat 5 Postgresql, Enterprise Linux, Network Satellite and 2 more 2025-04-20 N/A
It was found that some selectivity estimation functions in PostgreSQL before 9.2.21, 9.3.x before 9.3.17, 9.4.x before 9.4.12, 9.5.x before 9.5.7, and 9.6.x before 9.6.3 did not check user privileges before providing information from pg_statistic, possibly leaking information. An unprivileged attacker could use this flaw to steal some information from tables they are otherwise not allowed to access.
CVE-2017-7547 2 Postgresql, Redhat 3 Postgresql, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 N/A
PostgreSQL versions before 9.2.22, 9.3.18, 9.4.13, 9.5.8 and 9.6.4 are vulnerable to authorization flaw allowing remote authenticated attackers to retrieve passwords from the user mappings defined by the foreign server owners without actually having the privileges to do so.
CVE-2017-12172 2 Postgresql, Redhat 4 Postgresql, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Software Collections and 1 more 2025-04-20 N/A
PostgreSQL 10.x before 10.1, 9.6.x before 9.6.6, 9.5.x before 9.5.10, 9.4.x before 9.4.15, 9.3.x before 9.3.20, and 9.2.x before 9.2.24 runs under a non-root operating system account, and database superusers have effective ability to run arbitrary code under that system account. PostgreSQL provides a script for starting the database server during system boot. Packages of PostgreSQL for many operating systems provide their own, packager-authored startup implementations. Several implementations use a log file name that the database superuser can replace with a symbolic link. As root, they open(), chmod() and/or chown() this log file name. This often suffices for the database superuser to escalate to root privileges when root starts the server.
CVE-2017-7548 3 Debian, Postgresql, Redhat 3 Debian Linux, Postgresql, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 7.5 High
PostgreSQL versions before 9.4.13, 9.5.8 and 9.6.4 are vulnerable to authorization flaw allowing remote authenticated attackers with no privileges on a large object to overwrite the entire contents of the object, resulting in a denial of service.
